袁宏寬,男,陜西省城固縣人。中共黨員,博士,教授,碩士生導師,學院副院長,重慶物理學會理事。2001年于寶雞文理學院獲學士學位,2004年于西南大學獲碩士學位,2009年于蘇州大學獲博士學位。 2004年7月-至今,在西南大學物理科學與技術學院任教。
主要從事團簇物理學、功能性新材料的設計、第一性原理的電子結構計算等方向研究,已在Phys. Rev. B, J. Chem. Phys., J. Phys. Chem. A, Inter. J. Hydrogen Energy等國際期刊發表SCI論文40余篇,申請專利2項;主持和主研國家級和重慶市級科研項目7項、西南大學校級項目4項;獲重慶市自然科學獎三等獎1項;出版“十二五”規劃教材1部。
先后承擔量子力學、高等數學、近代物理實驗、密度泛函理論及其應用等課程的教學任務,以及物理國家級虛擬仿真實驗教學中心、物理學國家級特色專業、量子力學重慶市精品資源共享課程等建設任務。
