西南大學生命科學學院研究生導師馬鳴介紹如下：

馬鳴, 教授, 博士生導師。2007年獲新加坡國立大學博士學位。2008-2009年在耶魯大學醫學院腎內科從事博士后研究工作，2010-2017年被聘為副研究科學家。2017年入職西南大學生命科學學院。

馬鳴實驗室的主攻方向是“腎臟發育與腎臟遺傳病研究”。其研究成果在以第一作者發表在Nature Genetics (Article), Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives in Biology, PLoS Genetics等雜志上。2013年美洲華人腎臟協會就其在腎臟病研究領域的貢獻授予了獎狀(Chinese American Society of Nephrology Outstanding Trainee Award)。2014年獲得美國多囊腎病基金會的科研基金(PKD Foundation) Research Grant-In-Aid。2017年入選第13批“青年千人”。現主持國家自然科學基金面上項目。

實驗室以小鼠，大鼠和斑馬魚為模型，研究方向為：

1.囊腫病的發病機理

2.纖毛在器官發育和穩態維持中的功能

3.腎臟上皮細胞分化
