謝從華教授博士生導師

國家有突出貢獻中青年專家，國家蔬菜改良中心華中分中心主任，湖北省馬鈴薯工程技術研究中心主任。中國作物學會馬鈴薯專業委員會副主任委員，農業部馬鈴薯專家指導組成員，英國Journal of Horticultural Science and Biotechnology 副主編，《中國農業科學》、《華中農業大學學報》、《中國馬鈴薯》等雜志編委。
　主要從事馬鈴薯遺傳育種、栽培生理和生物技術領域的研究，先后主持國家自然科學基金、863、948、國家支撐計劃、農業成果轉化、國際合作等項目30多項。育成鄂馬鈴薯1號、3號、4號、6號、華恩1號、華薯1號等新品種。主持研究的馬鈴薯試管薯高效生產技術獲國家發明專利，以此為基礎創造了國內外周期最短的馬鈴薯繁殖技術體系。獲湖北省科技進步一等獎、技術發明一等獎、農業部豐收計劃一等獎等多項。發表論文150多篇。
