圖書簡介

高校英文寫作教材系列。全書分為四大部分。第一部分為英語寫作知識與技巧概述，引用語言學(xué)的新成果，分析對比了東西方不同民族的思維表達(dá)方式和習(xí)慣，提出了怎樣才能寫出地道英語的原則。第二、三部分介紹從句子到段落，再到篇章的寫作知識與技巧，讓學(xué)生通過知識與技巧的運(yùn)用，實現(xiàn)用英語寫作短文、傳遞信息和表達(dá)思想的目標(biāo)。第四部分介紹兩種特殊形式的英文寫作——文章概要和讀書報告的寫作，適應(yīng)大學(xué)英語教育的普遍要求。
本書有以下特點(diǎn)：
全書深入淺出，以第一人稱寫成，充分體了人文精神，讓使用者以平等的射份參與問題的討論，增強(qiáng)寫作地道英語短文的自信心。
各章節(jié)均配有大量練習(xí)，練習(xí)難易有致，教師和學(xué)生可以自由取舍，靈活選用。練習(xí)編排采用了“預(yù)測—實踐—效果檢測”三段循環(huán)式的科學(xué)方法。預(yù)測可以喚起讀者的求知欲；實踐使其熟悉寫作技巧，獲得真知；效果檢測既可起到復(fù)習(xí)鞏固所學(xué)寫作知識和技巧的作用，又可增強(qiáng)讀者提高寫作能力的自信心。
創(chuàng)造性地把標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號的使用融入了文章整體性與連貫性的討論，改變了寫作書籍孤立對標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號的傳統(tǒng)做法。
舉例多引自當(dāng)代英美原著，但并不生搬硬套，這使全書既擺脫了中式英語的束縛又切合中國學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的實際需要。
