LI Huali is an associate professor and academic adviser for MA and MTI program in the School of Humanities at BUPT. She received the MA in English Language and Literature from English Department at Jilin University in 2000 and then started working as an English teacher at BUPT. The courses she has taught include Basic English, Listening, Extensive Reading and English Writing, etc. From August 2005 to May 2006, as one of the first ten Chinese Fulbright FLTA (Foreign Language Teaching Assistant) participants, she worked and studied at Wofford College, South Carolina, US. From September 2014 to June 2016, she worked as a Chinese teacher at Confucius Institute (CI) in Suva, Fiji, which is co-established by the University of South Pacific (USP) and BUPT. Having taken part in several research projects, she has published academic papers on English literature and English teaching, edited textbooks like Advanced English Writing and translated articles in On Popular Culture. Her research interests include English writing, English teaching and English & American literature and culture.
