YANG Hui, is an associate professor and academic adviser for MA in the School of Humanities at BUPT. She graduated from School of Humanities and Social Science at Tsinghua University and received her Ph.D. in 2008. She was a visiting scholar at University of California-Santa Barbara from 2011 to 2012, learning genre studies from Professor Charles Bazerman. She currently serves as Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at the University of the South Pacific. Her main research interests include genre analysis, social linguistics, comparative linguistics, Internet Culture and Cross-Cultural Communication. She has chaired and participated in more than 10 projects, and published more than 20 academic books and papers.
