XIE Yongjiang is an associate professor, associate dean and academic adviser for the Master of Laws in the School of Humanities at BUPT. He is currently the executive associate director of Institute of Internet Governance and Law at BUPT, and distinguished fellow of China Academy of Cyberspace. He is also a council member of Cyber Security Association of China (CSAC), Secretary General of CSAC Internet Governance & International Cooperation Working Committee, and standing director of China Law Association on Science and Technology. His principal expertise and research areas include cyber law, Internet governance and economical law. He was a Fulbright visiting scholar at University of California at Berkley during 2010-2011. He has led over ten research projects at the national and providential level, published two monographs and edited several textbooks including Cyber-Security Law. He has also published more than 30 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals.
