倒裝句分為部分倒裝和全部倒裝，這一句型出現在考研英語中會給大家的閱讀造成一定障礙，因為正常語序被打亂，有些成分被省去，因此在進行真題中的倒裝句學習之前要對基本知識有一定把握和理解。今天老師就真題中的倒裝句給大家進行講解。

句子一：Emerging from the 1980 census is the picture of a nation developing more and more regional competition, as population growth in the Northeast and Midwest reaches a near standstill.該句的倒裝形式--“過去分詞或現在分詞+be的各種形式+主語”，如：Lying on the couch is an old lady.正常語序是The picture is emerging from the 1980 census;of a nation developing more and more regional competition是介詞短語做定語修飾picture，其中developing現在分詞做定語修飾nation;后邊as引導的是伴隨狀語從句，從句的主語是population growth，謂語是reaches ，賓語是a near standstill。參考翻譯：在1980年的人口普查中，出現了這樣一個情況：當東北部和中西部地區的人口增長幾乎停止的時候，這個國家地區間的競爭卻變得越來越激烈了。

句子二：Nor, if regularity and conformity to a standard pattern are as desirable to the scientist as the writing of his papers would appear to reflect, is management to be blamed for discriminating against the "odd balls" among researchers in favor of more conventional thinkers who work well with the team.If引導的是條件狀語從句，主句進行了倒裝，形式是以so/ neither/ nor開頭的句子,正常語序是management is nor to be blamed...注意if條件狀語從句插入進來可能會造成辨認倒裝的困難。句中難點在于as的理解，第一個as是副詞，正如，第二個as引導定語從句修飾regularity and conformity，as在句中做reflect的賓語。參考翻譯：如果科學家想要常規和遵從標準模式，正如他的論文中看上去顯示的那樣，那么管理層歧視研究者中的“怪人”，而偏愛“善于團隊合作”的更為傳統的思想者，也就不該受到指責。
