　　鑒于以往中外有關(guān)動物隱喻的研究大多數(shù)是以問卷調(diào)查或詞典為來源收集語料，以大型語料庫為語料來源、以非人域為目標(biāo)域?qū)�單個動物進(jìn)行細(xì)致深入跨文化研究比較少這一事實，本書以Lakoff和Johnson(1980)的概念隱喻理論及Fauconnier和Turner(1998；2002)的概念整合理論為基礎(chǔ)，從北大現(xiàn)代漢語語料庫和英語國家語料庫中分別提取語料，以目標(biāo)域為立足點對目標(biāo)域為人及非人域時漢英蛇、獅隱喻在源域、喻義、抽象出的概念隱喻及感情色彩等方面的異同作了翔實的分析和比較，發(fā)現(xiàn)不同文化中的動物隱喻是相似性和差異性共存的。
